| Give Me A Chance! |
I'am a woman
As far as I can remember
I've been striving
At an early age
I began working
To make a living
From dawn to nightfall
I sat in the marketplace
Trying to sell my case
I'm now a displaced woman
Living in a foreign land
I'm honest, hardworking
But no work is yet landing
I had no schooling
But I have my hands
I can make beautiful things
Yes, I'm willing to take a lift
With these God's giving gifts
But no one will pick me up
I'm a woman, I'am poor
Not deserving, not trustworthy
However, being poor
Does not mean less than human
All I need is a chance to show you
That with these God's giving gifts
I can make beautiful things
I'am a woman, I'm poor
But I can!
All I need is a chance
All I need is a hand
